I’ve just discovered recently, that the blog on ebay is an excellent way of building relationships with your customers.
It builds up trust with your customer and provides evidence that it is actually ‘you’ trading on the site.
Unfortunately there a lot of phoneys within the ebay community.
Also set up a ‘ME’ page on ebay.
Its a great way of promoting your ebay shop and gathering extra interest for other ventures.
It takes about five minutes to set up. If you are not an expert with html, you could always get a cheap page done from a freelance site to give a more professional look.

Have you condsidered a website to compliment your ebay shop?
You don’t need to spend lots of money on one, just a basic site with around 5 pages.
Have a page to show your products and an ordering facility via a contact page and thats all you need. Its a great way to generate more cash and give your products more exposure.
The added bonus is that you won’t have to pay ebay fees!

A good way to kick start an online business without spending huge amounts on stock is to dropship.
Selling goods for another company or supplier under your own branding.
The customer buys the item from you for a mark up in price, you then purchase the item from the company or supplier and instruct them to deliver them directly to ‘your’ customer.
Leaving you to collect the difference between your price and the cost you paid the supplier.
There is certainly money to be made on higher end items, such as cameras and computers.
Amazon and ebay are two great trading platforms to profit from dropshipping.
The DVD set Build a Bedroom Empire shows you in detail some great suppliers you can use for dropshipping.
